I believe birth is a normal, safe, and natural process and being a midwife is much more than just catching babies. Birth is a sacred process that every woman should be able to experience surrounded by love, support and options. As a midwife I strive to provide a safe, nurturing space for women to feel empowered throughout their pregnancy and birth. I want to give your baby the gentlest entrance into the world.

When I was a little girl I would put my plastic play stethoscope to my papa’s beer belly and tell him I was listening to the baby in his tummy. He always played along. I’ve known my whole life that I wanted to help women have babies. My journey to supporting women began when I attended Grand Canyon University to receive my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, I began working in the Couplet Care unit as a Registered Nurse where I stayed for a year before moving to the Labor and Delivery unit. I had the privilege of serving women through all sorts of birth stories before I became pregnant with my own daughter, Caroline. In a last minute switch to home birth, I discovered a new passion for supporting women to deliver their babies at home… and although my plastic stethoscope was really nice, I’m so proud today to hold a real fetal doppler to pregnant mother’s bellies as a Certified Professional Midwife.
